Privacy Policy

The short version
We collect as little as we can, we never sell your information, and we only share what’s necessary with the trusted services that help us run events, bookings, and payments.
Quiet Smile Experiences (“Quiet Smile,” “we,” “us”) is a social club and experience collective based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website or attend our gatherings, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you email us, register for an event, or book a meeting, you may share your name, email address, and anything else you choose to include. If you pay for an event, your payment details are entered directly with our payment processor - we never see or store your full card number.
Information collected automatically. Our website is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) to operate the site securely. We do not run our own analytics or advertising trackers, and our website does not set its own cookies.
Third-party services we use
We rely on a small number of reputable services to run Quiet Smile. When you use a feature powered by one of them, your information is handled under that provider’s own privacy policy:
- Luma - Powers our events calendar and RSVPs. When you register for an event, Luma collects the details you provide.
- Google Calendar - Powers our “book a meeting” scheduler. Bookings are processed by Google.
- Stripe - Processes payments for events that aren’t free. Stripe handles your card details directly and securely; we only receive confirmation of payment.
- Vercel - Hosts the website and maintains operational server logs.
- Instagram (Meta) - Hosts our social presence. Visiting our profile is governed by Instagram’s policy.
How we use your information
We use the limited information we collect to:
- Respond to your messages and questions.
- Confirm registrations, bookings, and payments.
- Tell you about gatherings you’ve signed up for.
- Keep the website running, secure, and reliable.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
Sharing and disclosure
We only share information with the service providers listed above, and only as needed to deliver what you asked for. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of our community and guests.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as it’s needed for the purpose it was collected - for example, to manage an upcoming event or maintain basic records - and then delete or anonymize it. You can ask us to remove your information at any time.
Your rights
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, and to withdraw consent or request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, just email us and we’ll take care of it.
Children
Quiet Smile gatherings and this website are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Effective” date at the top of the page. Material changes will be reflected here.
