Terms of Service
Effective June 15, 2026
The short version
Use the site and join our gatherings in good faith, be kind to the people around you, and understand that we host experiences as-is. These terms keep things clear and fair for everyone.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Quiet Smile Experiences (“Quiet Smile,” “we,” “us”) website and your participation in our events. By using this website or attending a gathering, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or attend.
Who we are
Quiet Smile is a social club and experience collective based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We design and host offline gatherings for adults. We are not a registered charity or a regulated service provider.
Using the website
You may use this website for its intended purpose: learning about Quiet Smile and registering for our gatherings. You agree not to misuse the site - for example, by attempting to disrupt it, access it through automated means at scale, or use it for anything unlawful.
Events and registration
Event registration and RSVPs are handled through Luma. Spaces may be limited, and registering does not guarantee entry if an event is at capacity. We may change, reschedule, or cancel an event - we’ll do our best to give notice when we do.
Our gatherings are intended for adults. By attending, you confirm you are of legal age and are participating voluntarily and at your own risk.
Payments and refunds
Most events run on a pay-what-you-can basis; some carry a fee. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, and by paying you also agree to Stripe’s terms. We never store your full card details.
If you can’t make an event you’ve paid for, contact us - we’ll handle refund requests reasonably and in good faith. Where an event is cancelled by us, paid registrants will be offered a refund or a spot at a future gathering.
Conduct at gatherings
Our spaces depend on mutual respect. You agree to treat other guests, hosts, and venues with care. Harassment, discrimination, threatening behaviour, or anything that makes the space unsafe is not welcome, and we may ask anyone acting that way to leave without a refund.
Third-party services and links
We rely on third-party services - including Luma, Google Calendar, Stripe, Vercel, and Instagram - and our site may link to them. We don’t control these services and aren’t responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
Intellectual property
The Quiet Smile name, logo, and the content on this website are ours (or used with permission). Please don’t copy, reuse, or redistribute them without our consent. Photos taken at our gatherings may be used to share what we do; let a host know if you’d prefer not to appear.
Disclaimers
The website and our events are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to host safe, enjoyable gatherings, but we can’t guarantee a particular outcome, and we’re not responsible for the actions of other guests or third parties.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quiet Smile and its organizers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or attendance at an event. You participate in our gatherings at your own risk.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Effective” date at the top of the page. Continuing to use the site or attend events after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
